About Me!

Hiya! My name is Anya Heape, I am a UK-based animator currently in my final year of 2D and Stop Motion Animation at Teesside University. I am a bit of a perfectionist and find the greatest joys in adding the perfect details to bring even the simplest characters to life. I'm thoroughly enjoying exploring different aspects of the animation pipeline but am currently drawn to pre-production and rigging within ToonBoom and feel most at ease in an organised node view. I am a social animal, I love meeting people and being part of a larger group. Ensuring everything is in it's place and in full working order for the rest of the team and allowing production to run as smooth as possible is so satisfying to me.

Outside of animation, I like to think of myself as rather eclectic. I love to collect things: postcards, my favourite CDs, dodgy Princess Diana mugs from charity shops. I like my personal space to be a vibrant visual library I can immediate draw from. The colour red is also taking over my life a little bit, one day I will find a head-to-toe outfit that perfectly matches my hair colour. I already have the socks, the match is uncanny!
